Respected by clients and peers alike, Aileen has been a board member of the REBNY Residential Sales Council since 2003. She also sat on the New Development sub-committee where she and eight other top-producers from NYC firms worked to streamline all new development co-brokerage sales agreements in Manhattan. In 2004, Aileen broke new ground on HGTV’s ‘House Hunters’ Television Show starting their first successful run of Manhattan-based episodes. She was the first New York/East Coast Broker to head up their national show. Her particular episode was voted as ‘House Hunters’ highest rated episode for 2004 and has since rerun dozens of times. Originally from Long Island, Aileen is a true New Yorker who is always fair and professional, driven by integrity, and able to get the job done right!

What do you do best?:

I spend an incredible amount of time and energy with each client. Although most agents are lazy and show their clients as few properties as possible, I, on the other hand, enjoy making my clients experts in the market they want to buy or sell in. I’ve worked with some clients for 2 and 3 years! Although some make decisions quicker than others, all my clients know I will take their specific circumstances into consideration for each deal. But they are almost all extremely loyal clients and have helped me accumulate an impressive track record of personal referrals and recommendations.

What makes you the best version of yourself?:

I consider myself an expert “matchmaker.” 90% of my clients would entrust me to pick a home for them sight-unseen if they needed. I have an uncanny ability to know exactly which properties is the “one” for my clients, even if they don’t know it yet. I offer them a list of specific reasons as to why I believe this property will work for them. They trust me to talk them out of a property just as much as I would talk them into one! Additionally, with almost 20 years experience in virtually all facets of Manhattan real estate, including Condo & Coop sales and rentals, to many years of managing successful sales offices, to new development projects, both New Construction and New Conversion projects as well as all the necessary dynamics and details for an international purchaser.

What are your aspirations? (Personal and Business):

Personal: To achieve a true inner sense of balance between work time and play time. I tend to be a work-a-holic and that “balance” has eluded me for almost 2 decades! I need some balance if I want to remain healthy!

Business: To close some monumental deals in 2015 & 2016 (already working on a $60mm deal!) and to broaden my expertise to become a licensed and successful Realtor in Florida (Broward & Palm Beach Counties) as well! This way I can begin to achieve some sense of relaxation while working in a place that soothes my mind & soul. Nothing like the Florida beaches to relax and get business done!

Motto?:

1) No good deed goes unpunished! 2) When you think it’s all over and you’ve reached the end of the line, that’s when you must pick yourself up by your bootstraps and press on!

Favorite People/Role Models?:

1) Barbara Corcoran – She is fearless!! 2) Oprah Winfrey – She serves humanity for the altruistic purpose of serving, simply because she’s in the position to do

Favorite Places/Destinations?:

Mykonos, Greece. My 2nd home and my “happy place” I make sure to get there at least once per year if not twice – and I generally stay for a month at a time!

Favorite Products/Objects?:

EMAIL!!! It is the greatest invention of all time! It saves us hundreds of hours of unnecessary conversation and cuts to the chase! You don’t have to fill an email with lots of pleasantries and/or “fluff” as you would need to in a business conversation!

Current Passions?:

I am passionate about almost everything I love!! Passionate about Manhattan real estate, discussing it, working it, reading about it, etc… Passionate about achieving exceptional results in anything I set my mind to! Passionate about traveling! I refuse to leave any stone un-turned on the Planet!

How will you become the best?

With my exceptional flair for communicating and getting deals closed, I have a long line of 19 years worth of happy & returning clients and customers. If you ask them, they will all agree that I already am the best! ? You cannot become the best unless you always have open lines of communication and listen to the actual needs and desires of your clients. It seems like a simple concept but not often practiced enough.

What fascinates you?

In regards to NYC real estate: I absolutely love architecture and am also a huge history buff. So on the rare occasions that I actually get to stroll through the city and take it all in, I am absolutely fascinated with the different time periods and building designs which reflect them. I LOVE Pre-wars with old world charm and details! I am fascinated by early NY history and how the city evolved to become what it is today!
