Alison has worked with multiple brands as their on-air spokesperson, helping them develop and craft their editorial content on television, web series and social media, as well as hosting live speaking engagements for them across the country.  She has provided her expertise to companies like Playtex, American Express,, Perricone MD, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Soap & Glory, JC Penney, Kraft, Cricut, Nintendo, essie, Kohl’s and Garnier.

A Day in My Life: 

What do you love most about Your City?

The weather. I love being able to play tennis, golf and hike all year round.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

I love a combo of pastry and eggs for brunch on the weekends. We walk to one of our favorites in the neighborhood, The Bellwether which is perfect for dinner or brunch.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – If I don’t have an early call time for a TV appearance or shoot, I’m likely still in bed until 7am.

10:00 AM By then, I’ve already walked the dogs, worked out, had breakfast, and now I’m fully into my work day. You’ll find me either at a TV studio or at home prepping for a shoot, a client’s styling session or research materials to help a brand with their media strategy and media training.

12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

I’m a fan of Sugarfish sushi in any part of LA. I’ll even treat myself to having Postmates deliver it to me. If I’m in the mood for a salad or sandwich, then Artisan Cheese Gallery in Studio City is my pick.

7:00 PM – Dinner plans. We get a Blue Apron box delivered each week, so it guarantees we cook together at least three times per week.

11:00 PM In bed with my husband next to me, my poodle Penny on the other side of me and our dog Lucy at our feet. We end the day watching something like Last Week Tonight, Drunk History or The Daily Show and then lights out.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I’m hooked on Trader Joe’s unsweetened white and black iced tea. I add a splash of their light lemonade to it. Besides drinking lots of water I turn to this drink for some flavor.

For evenings out, a glass of wine or a vodka gimlet is my drink of choice.

What should everyone try at least once?

Travel outside the US. I’ve been fortunate to have traveled extensively for my career and personal life. It opens you up to other cultures, art, food and landscapes.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

My husband and I adore our sailing adventures in Fiji and French Polynesia. Give us some snorkel gear and we’ll be lost for hours swimming among sting rays, octopus, and hundreds of fish species.

How did you get into the industry?

I started out as an editor and writer on women’s fashion magazines writing articles and interviewing celebrities. The fashion editor liked the way I dressed and asked if I wanted to assist her on shoots. I would spend my days splitting my time between writing and styling. From there I became a fashion and beauty director and then moved onto being on TV.

Career advice to those in your industry?

Be kind, attentive and helpful and it doesn’t hurt to be a bit type A.

Ideal experience for a customer/client?

I take a hands-on, personal approach to every individual, analyzing what works, then standing right next to them every step of the way… from wardrobe overhaul and organization to styling a whole new image or style update to media training and coaching. My mission is to help people look good and feel fearless.

What are my aspirations?

I’m launching Alison Deyette Media as an extension of my company that will focus more on the media training, on-camera coaching and brand strategy I’ve been doing for years but will now have an official site for new clients to learn more about that side of business.

My Most Challenging Moment?

When our house was broken into many years ago the thieves took all my styling portfolios. They were in cases that resembled laptop bags. My NY agent left the business when I moved to LA and I had planned to transfer all the images to my website and secure a new agent in LA. I could not retrieve the years of work I had done styling photo shoots for magazines, catalogues, retailers, etc. That set back had me move to working with private clients and celebrities one-on-one. Most importantly, I was thankful they didn’t hurt our dogs.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

My husband, Michelle Obama and Kamala Harris.
