Amy Jo founded Digital Royalty nearly five years ago to help companies, celebrities, professional sports leagues, teams and athletes build, measure and monetize their digital universe.  In addition, Digital Royalty provides customized social media education programs through Digital Royalty University, which offers a comprehensive curriculum blending strategic and tactical training. In October 2012, Amy Jo published the New York Times Bestseller, Renegades Write the Rules.

Amy Jo herself has nearly 1.1 million Twitter followers (@AmyJoMartin) and she travels the world to speak about the latest trends in social media, how to monetize various social platforms, and how to successfully build a personal brand by utilizing social media. How did you get into the industry?:

Curiosity drove me to learn more about digital technology and then I was hooked.

Social communication privacy continues to be a growing concern for society. We provide training which educates users about their personal brand and how to protect their brand.

Inspiration for the business idea, and your vision for the Business?:

We continue to expand internationally and grow our education division.

Your key initiatives for the success of the Business? Greatest Accomplishment?:

Our partnership with our investor, Tony Hsieh, has been instrumental.

Attracting the combination of incredible talent that comprises the team is my biggest success.

Your most difficult moment at the Business? (and what did you learn?):

People aren’t scalable. There are only so many hours in a day.  We began to productize our intellectual property and created our education division.
