What do you love most about Your City?
There are many attributes about St. Louis to love! For me, in include the rich history of the region, incredible performing arts community, fantastic restaurants, central location in the US, and the friendliness and authenticity of St. Louisans.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
My favorite breakfast is either a quinoa bowl with dried fruit, or steel cut oatmeal with dried fruit and a dash of brown sugar. As for the dining experience, First Watch is an easy go-to.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Running or weight lifting.
10:00 AM – Deep work – This time of day is usually blocked for client work that involves intense writing, pitching media or other related matters.
12:00 PM – Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?
It’s don’t really eat lunch because I tend to graze during the day. I don’t have too many power lunches. I find that customers, business partners and prospective customers don’t have or rather don’t want to take 2+ hours out of the middle of the day to meet. It’s more effective to have a Zoom call during the morning or afternoon. I also find super early coffee in-person meetings or after work drinks tend to be easier to schedule, are more productive and allow for more flexibility for jam-packed schedules.
My favorite spot for a weekend lunch is Guerrilla Street Food, a local Filipino rest. They have the BEST adobo chicken that rivals my mother-in-law’s adobo chicken!
7:00 PM – Wrapping up dinner; hanging out with Ed, my husband and business partner; and spending time with our three amazing dogs – Baxter and Beatrice, the English Bulldogs, and Bonaparte, the French Bulldog.
11:00 PM – In bed asleep. In fact, I’m usually asleep by 10:00 p.m. We get up early around the Mayuga home!
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
Water in many forms – plain ice water; hot water with a lemon slice or fresh ginger; or infused water I make myself with lemon, blueberries and fresh basil, or any other berry / herb concoction.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
Most used apps are MyFitnessPal, Evernote and Google Maps.
My favorite Instagram Account is about my dogs because it curates their lives and shows what fun they have! If you want to follow, its @Baxter0701.
What should everyone try at least once?
Go a day without complaining, whining or making excuses about ANYTHING! It does wonders for your mind and soul, plus you won’t waste time on goofy stuff. You’ll be proactive to make things happen!
The other item…eat your veggies! Try a new and different veggie each day!
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
This year, 2018, I became a Master Gardener, so I can get lost in my own garden or Botanical Garden looking at everything.
I also use Google Maps frequently, so I don’t get lost!
