What do you love most about Your City?
I love the equality, diversity, and the art in Montreal. By equality I mean how women are very expected and if we decide to work very hard can achieve great things. I love the cultural diversity and the respect towards the LGBTQ+ community. Montreal is a very artistic city and I feel right at home as I consider myself somewhat of an artist.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
I actually never eat breakfast, I believe in intermediate fasting. I don’t drink coffee or tea. My morning ritual is a glass of not too hot water and that’s it. Sometimes, I add lemon in the water. I maintain a strict diet that keeps me healthy and properly fueled for work. As such, it can be hard to eat our at restaurants.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Running or Meditating. I take my schedule very seriously and my first activity in the morning is designed to prepare me for the rest of the work day.
10:00 AM – I am probably in a meeting with one of the ManyVids teams. In some cases, I provide guidance and in others, I am just being updated on what one of our expert teams are up to. If I am not in a morning meeting, I am responding to what can sometimes be an almost overwhelming amount of emails.
12:00 PM – Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?
I almost never eat at a restaurant as I am a Vegan Yogi eater. It’s almost impossible to find a place that serves the type of food I eat. I don’t eat garlic, onion, tomatoes and more. I usually have our chef at the ManyVids office prepare a couple of vegetables with quinoa. I try to keep my diet simple and very healthy.
7:00 PM – By 7:00 pm, I am meeting with our COO – every day – to recap the day’s events and map out our priorities for the following day. It sounds grueling, but it is an efficient way to ensure that every detail is attended to and it prevents (mostly) surprises.
11:00 PM – Most probably sleeping. If I can’t sleep, I’m usually awake thinking of the next best move for my business.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I am a very simple – even boring person. I don’t drink coffee. In the past, I was a coffee fiend and it disturbed me that I was dependent on it … so I implemented a coffee detox. It wasn’t easy and for three months, I was pretty miserable. Today, almost three years later, I am so happy I made that decision. I also don’t drink alcohol because I don’t like its effects. My drink of choice is water and sometimes sparkling water. Depending on my daily activity, I would say I drink between 1 to 2 litres of water a day.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
I am not really a bit social media person – it’s useful in small doses, but most social media is designed to pull one in. I love Instagram and follow some great accounts – mostly motivational and positive inspirational figures. I am a huge fan of positivity and if I am going to use social media, I need it to fulfill this need for me.
What should everyone try at least once?
Trying to be more understanding towards things you don’t understand. In our line of work, we experience a fair share of ignorance and baseless disregard for sex workers who are otherwise beautiful human beings who lead productive and fulfilling lives.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
These days, my favorite site to be “lost” is in my mind while I meditate. I reflect on life and the diverse universe we live in. The challenges and rewards of my work teach me so much and present me with many questions to ponder. I am living in one of the most amazing periods of my life and I want every action and every thought to have meaning.
