What Else To Know

My Goal of the Day:

To live with a purpose, to be happy and bring joy and smile to everyone’s faces.

My Thought of the Day:

“The most difficult job in this world is to get to know your own nature and accept it as it is. When you put a seed in your mind and water it with daily devotion to experience yourself, it will sprout. When the sprout is then aided and nurtured through the blessing and guidance of your master, you will come to realize your own nature. Only then you can say that you have learned something in Yoga”.

My Action of the Day:

Talking to my students and making them understand the true aspect of yoga which is way beyond just the physical exercises (asanas).Spread the message of yoga through my teachings as well as help my students to improve their personal practice through tips, advises, demonstrations and recommendations.

My Deed of the Day:

Practice yoga and make it a daily part of life. Only then, you’ll gradually understand ‘what yoga is’ and how it is a way of life which teaches us to stay humble and grounded.

My Tip of the Day:

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City? Oh, there are so many things that the list will go endless. But franky speaking I love the spiritual vibe of Rishikesh and of course, the natural splendors all around. I believe that the natural setting of Rishikesh is apt for those who wish to evolve spiritually and awake their inner-consciousness.

Favorite breakfast meal& restaurant? Being a yogi, I follow a simple vegetarian diet throughout the day. My day starts with a glass of lukewarm water with a little bit of lemon juice. For breakfast, I usually have some oats with milk and honey and a glass of fresh fruit juice. My afternoon meal is more of a ‘Sattvic’ diet which includes boiled rice, chapatti (Indian flatbread), daal (lentil soup), vegetable curry and green salad. Dinner is usually light and consists of a few chapattis with a vegetable curry. I hardly have outside food but when I do, my favorite is ‘Amrit Ganga Café’ in Rishikesh.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM I wake up at dawn every day. The first thing I do in the morning is to have a glass of lukewarm water with a few drops of lemon juice and then do my cleansing practices. By the time it’s 6a.m. I am usually busy in my daily asana, meditation and pranayama practice.

10:00 AM By 10a.m. I am at my school preparing for my class to begin.

12:00 PMFavorite Lunch spot/meal? I love home cooked food. So, usually it is my Sattvic diet consisting of boiled rice, chapatti (Indian flatbread), daal (lentil soup), vegetable curry and green salad.

7:00 PM By this time, I am at my home having dinner and sharing some quality time with my family.

11:00 PMI am in deep sleep. No disturbance please!

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)? Believe it or not, my favorite drink is water and I usually have 4-5 liters of water every day.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account? I am not a great believer in apps for socializing but for me Facebook is quite handy as I get news and updates about yoga from all over the world.

What should everyone try at least once? Yoga.

Where do you enjoy getting lost? That’s interesting. Well, to be honest the practice of yoga, meditation has helped me understand a lot of things in life and it is through this practice that I enjoy getting lost in inner bliss and happiness.
