What Else To Know

Tell Us More:

How did you get into the industry?

I would not say that my work stays within the bounds of one, particular industry. Rather, I find ways to connect my interests intra-industrially, so that I can develop skills that allow me to engage with all of my interests, as well as become better in terms of professional development. For example, I practice my writing skills and that training guides my practice as an attorney, but also strengthens my position as a columnist and author. I wouldn’t advise anyone to search for one, particular industry- but to find what they love to do and integrate it into whatever industry they encounter.

Any emerging industry trends?

Each the legal, business, and media (marketing/writing) industries currently struggle with representation. Women and minorities are underrepresented both inter and intra-market, and the result is the fragmented dialogue that narrates our social conditions and guides our corporate development. A trend to develop diversity and inclusion resources is emerging. Not saying it’s working- but at least it’s being recognized.

Any industry opportunities or challenges?

Your greatest challenge will be to stay ahead. To do this you must stay equipped. Find the tools that you need to master your craft and use them. Now.

What’s next for the Business in the near future?

I recently published my book, ‘The Anatomy of the Honey Bee,’ which is a memoir about pain, love, abuse, and overcoming, written in short-story and short-poem format. Otherwise, you’ll have to see 😉 And buy the book!:)

Your key initiatives for the success of the Business?
