Career Snapshot:

A native New Yorker, Bob Steiner was born in Brooklyn, then moved to Manhattan at the age of 13 where he spent the next 20 years living and breathing city life. In 1998, country life was calling, so Bob moved to East Hampton after running NYC corporate restaurants for nearly 15 years. Having met hundreds of people on a daily basis from all walks of life, Bob realized that real estate would be a natural extension of his communication, preparation and leadership skills. Now, years later, Bob’s reputation in Hamptons real estate speaks for itself – his passion, devotion and loyalty to clients is unsurpassed. After all, clients become neighbors and neighbors become friends!

What do you do best?:

Whether I’m on the buying or selling side of a transaction, my clients can be assured that I’m there for them anytime, day or night. With advances in mobile technology over the past several years, real estate, now more than ever, has become a 24/7 business. You have to be able to deal with issues around the clock. I consider myself a techie – my iPhone, iPad, and/or computer is always close by, so I’m always connected to my customers! 

What makes you the best?:

I’m a very patient person. Buying or selling a home is a process – one that can be extremely stressful at times. The trick is to make sure that your customer is 100% comfortable with his or her decision. Sometimes that happens overnight – other times it can take months or even years – let them know that, either way, you’re in it together for the long haul.

What are your aspirations? (Personal and Business):

Personal: To showcase my photography (www.bobsteinerphotography.com)

Business: To keep doing what I love – which is finding the perfect Hampton’s home for my clients!

Biggest Success?:

Besides my family, finding the perfect home for a long time friend/customer (with a budget of 4 million), for $1.3 – very gratifying!

Most Challenging Moment?:

Years ago, after a home inspection, an engineer had inadvertently left a water pipe valve open in the basement crawl space. When I returned to lock the house, two feet of water had already accumulated underneath the house! I immediately called a septic company (which normally removes waste) to pump out the water. Six hours later, the water had receded – and three days later, I’m happy to report, that the crawl space was dry and no damage was done to the house – phew!

“Customers become friends, and friends become neighbors!”

Favorite People/Role Models?:

My wife. She’s an amazing person – very hard working and a dedicated mom – not to mention a great cook!

Favorite Places/Destinations?:

The Greek Isles, Africa, Asia, and France.

Favorite Products/Objects?:

Anything Apple – I’m addicted!

Photography and spending time with my children.
