Get as much painting and drawing time in as I can, while making sure I stay on top of the business side of things.
I really want to keep one of these paintings I just created. To add to my collection, or not to add to my collection? This is the question of the day!
Today, I created a post on social media that inspired others. It’s not easy to open up and admit that you’re human, but through sharing my experience on social media, I helped others. I was able to give advice that a lot of people found helpful.
Make sure to self-care. It’s important to not over work yourself and take time to relax and enjoy your time. Mental and physical health is super important for a creative and healthy life.
In my opinion, Vancouver, BC, is one of the most beautiful cities. There is so much nature that surrounds us and so many things to do. I love that I live in Canada, as people here are polite and really care about the environment. Vancouverites are very eco conscience. What I love the most about this city is how diverse and beautiful it is. I can walk for thirty minutes and see the ocean, sky rises, end up in a cobblestone street area full of boutiques and in a hop skip and a jump, I’m in a luscious park.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
I guess my husband’s waffles don’t count! I love my hubby’s cooking. My favorite place to go for a delicious coffee and baked goods is definitely Small Victory. Its unparalleled!
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Sleeping
10:00 AM – Working on art or checking emails if I still have any to go through. This is the moment in my day when I get to plan out what I’ll be doing and working on. I usually listen to music or an audiobook while I work so it keeps me from realizing the time is passing by.
12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
I don’t go out for lunch to be honest, I stay in most of the time. But if I do venture out for lunch I’d say its Boaqi the Vietnamese Sub Restaurant. I love their lemongrass tofu sandwich and sweet coffee, but now that I’m not supposed to eat gluten, I don’t go as often.
7:00 PM – At home making dinner with my husband. He’s usually home at this time and we get to cook together and share about our day. Its’ one of my favorite things to do, period. He’s my best friend and we love to hang out and have fun. Spending time with him makes me feel safe and alive and excited.
11:00 PM – I’m back in the studio painting or drawing. By this time there is nothing for me to check in my inbox, so its clear sailing. I spend the rest of my night in my studio – working, happily listening to an audiobook, while the rest of the world is sleeping.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I love chai lattes. I now have a very restrictive diet, though, so I can’t drink tea or coffee anymore. Makes me sad because I loved an unsweetened latte or a spicy chai!
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
Definitely Instagram for me. I’m always on Instagram. My fav account would probably be The Dodo. I love that account. It makes me laugh and cry.
What should everyone try at least once?
Kavalan Solist Whiskey. Oh my gosh its my favorite. It’s so delicious. If we’re talking non- food/drink related, then I’d say that every artist should try Holbein Duo oils! They are incredible!!
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
LOL I get lost on a daily basis! I have the worst sense of direction, but I think my favorite place to get lost is a tie between Ikea and the streets of Rome. I love everything about those two places. Ikea makes me what to buy everything and redecorate all the time – and I always get lost there. Rome, well Rome is a no brainer. I have gotten lost there more times than I can count, and I’ve stumbled across some amazing places and foods that have been so utterly amazing it makes me want to go back and get lost over and over again.
