CO-OWNER, POI DOG PHILLY
Chris manages most of the kitchen and back-of-house operations at Poi Dog, both at the restaurant and on the truck. Raised in the Philadelphia region, he grew up cooking and eating in the Italian-American tradition, such as rolling out tourdeedis(which no one in his family can agree on how to spell) to fry and coat with honey, alongside his grandmother. Graduate studies in Philosophy and Classics took him to New Orleans and Germany and finally back to Pennsylvania.
Be productive and enjoy what parts of the day you can.

A Day in My Life:
What do you love most about Your City? The small business community in Philadelphia is quite special.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant? My favorite breakfast restaurant was Little Pete’s, but it has unfortunately closed. Everything was good, as long as there was scrapple on the plate.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Waking up/getting ready to start the day
10:00 AM – Usually catching up with emails or other administrative tasks.
12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
At noon, I’m usually at our restaurant, so I don’t get to lunch very often.
7:00 PM – If our catering or event schedule allows it, I’m usually home or heading home by 7pm.
11:00 PM – Reading, listening to music and hoping to fall asleep.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I usually need to drink a coffee in the morning. I don’t have any particular drink I need at the end of the day.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
