View every meal as an opportunity to nourish your body
I live in Boca Raton, Florida. The sunshine, the warmth and knowing the ocean is 1.5 miles away keeps me going.
Favorite breakfast meal and restaurant:
99% of the time, I am having a smoothie for breakfast loaded with fruit, greens, and superfoods. If I am going out to breakfast, I love the place Raw Juce, they have the best acai bowls and juices.
What are you doing at:
6:00 am – Still sleeping.
10:00 am – walking on the treadmill while either listening to a podcast or working. I like getting my steps in while doing something productive. Multitasking at its finest!
12:00 pm – Favorite Lunch Spot/Meal?
If I am eating at home, a big nutritious salad is my go-to meal. For example, I’ll do greens of some kind with quinoa, chickpeas, tomato, cucumber, and pumpkin seeds. 4th generation organic market is my fav spot to go out to lunch – their raw vegan tuna wrap is the bomb.
7:00 pm – Spending time with my best friend and boyfriend, Ari. I will have already eaten dinner at this point. I ideally like to eat around 5:30 pm, if I eat too close to bedtime I feel uncomfortable and too full to lay down.
11:00 pm – hopefully I am already sleeping by 11, I like to wind down around 10 with a good Netflix show (finished Making a Murderer way too quickly) or a book and a cup of herbal tea. I also take a magnesium calm gummy before bed – magnesium is a great natural stress and anxiety reliever.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end? (and how many)
I need water all day, nothing else. I drink at least 100 oz. of water a day.
Most used app/favorite Instagram account?
Instagram is my most used app for sure. I engage with like minded people, post my recipes, give wellness tips, and provide nutrition advice. I love @melissawoodhealth and @skinnyconfidential, both are really bad-ass women that I look up to and admire.
What should everyone try at least once?
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
Whole Foods (LOL), I could be there for hours roaming the aisles. It’s almost therapeutic.
