My goal for any day would be to do whatever has been planned for the completion of my personal and business vision. This always includes helping others in some way and self care in some way. Also making sure that there is always some personal growth taking place.
I wake up with two thoughts everyday. The first is who can I help today and the second is what is the truth in the challenges of the day. So I say what is the truth in this? Staying in the truth and out of made up stories and magical thinking of myself and others.
Simply taking action on what is planned for the day. Most of my days are planned ahead of time with tasks and activities that are required to reach goals and bring about my vision for my life and my company.
The great people and the beautiful Fall. I also like the mountains and lakes. I’m an outdoor person, so the access to mountains, lakes and even ocean are ideal. Not only that, but Charlotte is growing at an incredible rate, so there’s always something new popping up to experience.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
My favorite breakfast is eggs fried over medium with smoked salmon and a cup of coffee (of course).
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – I rescued a little white Westie, Ferguson, a couple years ago, and every morning he needs a walk. At 6am, I’ve generally had my first cup of coffee and I’m outside walking Fergs.
10:00 AM – My day is in full swing by 10am. I’m either on the phone with one of my private clients or I’m in a Leadership meeting with my core team. That is of course if I’m not on a plane headed to a speaking event somewhere!
12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
I’m a big fan of spicy foods that are full of flavor, so my favorite lunch would have to be a bowl of Thai curry
7:00 PM – My day is winding down by 7:00pm. Usually I’m sitting down to a healthy dinner with my family.
11:00 PM – Hopefully I’m asleep at 11pm, but on the occasion that I’m travelling or if I’ve hosted a seminar that day, it takes me awhile to wind down. If I’m not asleep, I’m studying, listening to an audio book, or catching a new documentary on Netflix.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
Coffee! If I don’t have my coffee in the morning, the cobwebs won’t clear! I follow coffee with water or if I need a boost, I’ll have a Diet Coke.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
I have a love and fascination with weather. I think that had to do with growing up in the Midwest. There was always SOME kind of weather happening. So…my most used app is the Weather App. I enjoy browsing Instagram. I don’t think I have a favorite follow but I do love all the food and travel accounts.
What should everyone try at least once?
I think EVERYONE should try helping people who can’t give you anything in return. It’s a game changer.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
I love getting lost on my boat. I live on a VERY large lake, and one of my favorite things is to hop n the boat and explore a new area of the lake. It’s so peaceful and there’s something about being on the lake that is meditative to me.
