Board Certified Physician
Dr. Eddie Fatakhov is an Internist, weight loss specialist, wellness expert, and nutritionist. He founded The Center for Internal and Integrative Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, where he focuses on his patients’ weight management and weight loss. Dr. Fatakhov is a best-selling author of “The Doctors’ Clinic-30 Program” and a contributor to “Internal Medicine — The Survival Guide to Residency.” Dr. Fatakhov is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta State University. Currently, Dr. Fatakhov speaks nationally about topics related to weight management.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Life University, then graduated at the head of his class from the American University of Antigua School of Medicine. During that time, he also earned his MBA from Davenport University, which includes a concentration in health management. After graduating, Dr. Fatakhov gained more experience during his Internal Medicine residency at Georgia Regents University Medical College of Georgia, located in Augusta.
His credentials include membership in the American College of Physicians and the Outstanding Resident in Volunteerism and Advocacy for the State of Georgia award. He also shares his internal and integrative medical knowledge and expertise with others as an assistant professor of Clinical Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta State University.
Dr. Fatakhov enjoys spending time with his friends and family during his time off. He loves to travel and visit beaches around the world. He enjoys traveling with his family members that live abroad. Meeting up for a vacation in a new country is a fun way to keep in touch.

What do you love most about Your City?
Atlanta is full of culture and friendly people. There are plenty of great restaurants, festivals and activities throughout the year.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
Egg Harbor Café – Quinoa skillet
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Waking up (if I must!), checking emails and posting on social media
10:00 AM – Seeing patients in my clinic or the hospital
12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
Caribbean Fiesta in Alpharetta, Ga. I love the baked Jerk chicken with brown rice and mixed vegetables, definitely full of flavor!
7:00 PM – Eating dinner, unwinding and taking some personal time to myself
11:00 PM – Watching the news or some of my favorite TV series before going to bed (granted I am not working a night shift in the hospital)
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
Coffee and water – probably too much for the former and not enough of the latter!

WhatsApp, makes it easy to communicate with my family that is spread across the globe. My favorite Instagram accounts are @deepakchopra and @garyvee
What should everyone try at least once?
Cow tongue or caviar.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
In REM sleep; but seriously, in an action or sci-fi movie.
