To lead by example professionally and personally. Everything I do exemplifies who I am. Each action and thought should reflect my purpose and how I want to affect others.
Be brave. Everyday. In work and home life, I’m aware that to make difference and leave a legacy, bravery is a necessity.
My main action of each day is to exchange positive energy with someone, or multiple people. Despite what is happening in the day, regardless of how routine or disruptive it may be, I try to be sure to have positive influence on someone and hope they will do the same for someone else.
What do you love most about Your City?
What I love about Dallas most is that it is a combination of cosmopolitan character infused with Texas traditions. Even if you are in the finest of restaurants, cowboy boots are still acceptable.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
Egg white omelet with lots of hot sauce at Local Diner in Coppell, Texas. It’s the suburb to Dallas where I live and it is my daughter’s favorite spot for pancakes. It’s 1950’s themed and she loves i
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Dosing myself with caffeine and watching the news. This is actually my favorite time of the day. It’s quiet and I can get mentally prepared for my work goals.
10:00 AM – By 10am I’m on a plane or in front of a customer, but either way, it’s on. My thoughts are flowing, and by this time of day I should have accomplished some of my immediate work priorities.
12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
Depends on what city I’m in, in which case I do like to try local fare. Recently I’ve found myself at Barley and Board in Denton, Texas. They have small plates to share, and two of my favorites are bacon wrapped Medjool dates and the blistered Shishito peppers. Can’t get enough of them.
7:00 PM – At 7:00pm I’m winding down for sure. Having a glass of wine and cooking dinner helps me relax and focus on my family. I love the feeling that comes from the aroma of good food accompanied by family chatter about the day.
11:00 PM – By 11:00pm, I have most likely already been asleep for an hour. I am a firm believer in 8 hours of sleep. If I don’t get those hours, I’m less productive the next day.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
Here is my daily regimen: Coffee, diet coke, vodka and vodka.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
Hands down, my most used app is Lyft. I use Lyft to travel for business and personal reasons almost daily. However, my guilty pleasure app is Jane.com. It is boutique app for women’s clothing and accessories. I love scrolling through it to see what new items they have in stock. And, then…maybe ordering a few things.
What should everyone try at least once?
Raw oysters with lots of Tabasco! I’m from southern Louisiana, so I grew up on oysters. I love to see people try them for the first time. Their reactions are priceless.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
I like getting lost in cities I’m not familiar with. If I’m traveling and my GPS takes me off the map, which happens, I usually end up getting to see a part of a city or town I wouldn’t normally experience. This happened recently in Indiana and I got see some back roads of beautiful landscapes and quaint farmhouses that I otherwise would never have seen.
