A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

The lack of skyscrapers, and the abundance of free museums and cultural experiences. I could do without the humidity, though.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

I’m not a huge breakfast-eater, but I love the brunch at Chef Geoff’s on New Mexico Avenue.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Getting on the treadmill (most days anyway; sometimes I’m hitting the snooze button).

10:00 AM – Mid-morning is most often consumed with meetings, usually to track the development or progress of cross-departmental programs.

12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

Jetties in Penn Quarter. They have the most delicious salads.

7:00 PM –  Making dinner with my husband and two daughters.

11:00 PM – Sleeping, or catching up on the current Real Housewives season. Don’t judge me.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I wouldn’t say I need it, but I sure do enjoy a glass of red wine (in the cooler months) or prosecco (on spring and summer evenings).

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

My most-used work-related app is ToDoist – essential for staying on top of tasks both major and minor, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

What should everyone try at least once?

Call your local, state and federal legislators and finding out where they stand on gun violence prevention measures. It’s easy, it’s quick, and it’s effective. In fact, do it more than once. Make it a habit.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

Considering that I have no sense of direction, I have learned to enjoy getting lost anywhere and everywhere. True story: I have gotten lost driving home from my kids’ elementary school (less than .5 mile from my house).
