What do you love most about Your City?
I always loved the energy of the city. Living in Manhattan was like waking up in a dream each day, it was my dream city and a place I’ve always wanted to live. The energy, the buzz, the “there’s always something going on” is infectious and unlike any other city I’ve experienced. My business truly thrived there.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
I’m pretty boring with my breakfast meals, I usually go with some oatmeal with yogurt and fruit. But lately, I’ve been adding some pumpkin to it to spice it up. Ya know, Fall and all.
My favorite restaurant in New York was Don Antonio mostly because I normally never ate pizza and didn’t care for it (I know, I’m probably in the 1% of people who would say that) but theirs was REALLY freaking good. It was also the first pizza place I had when I first visited NYC and it completely shifted my entire perception of pizza. Yum!
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – I wake up around 6:30am, the joys of setting my own schedule. My morning routine consists of a quick meditation, mindset work by journaling, watching inspirational or enlightening videos, reading. Then, I plan my day and have breakfast.
10:00 AM – I actually start working around 8am or so on most days, so I’m either on calls with clients, creating courses for a future launch, or sometimes would be taking a walk to take a break from the constant staring into my laptop screen.
12:00 PM – Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?
I make my own lunch cause I like to know exactly what goes in it, and I usually create a salad with brussels sprouts slaw from Whole Foods with tomatoes, chive, and some chicken and cheese. Then, either an apple or peach on the side.
7:00 PM – I’m either wrapping up work, or heading over to see friends or a comedy show or comedy class I’m taking. I like to keep my mind fresh by participating in improv comedy classes or acting classes, I find that a different perspective and ability to unlock the creative energy helps me in my business, too.
11:00 PM – I’m in bed, reading a book on Kindle (usually some kind of a fiction novel, whether it’s a YA book, crime thriller novel, or something else). But let’s be honest, I’m probably asleep by that time half the time.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I’m not big on caffeine, but I like to have a matcha green tea in the morning to give me a nice jolt of energy. Around lunch, I might have a white tea if I need more energy, or switch to herbal. I also love me some LaCroix in the evenings – mango or pompelmousse are my favorite.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
Most used app is probably Instagram or Facebook (or my email). Favorite Instagram account right now is @thegoodquote
What should everyone try at least once?
Improv!!! I tell everyone about it, it doesn’t matter if you wanna do comedy (I never did) or wanna be a performer or a public speaker, anyone can benefit from improv – not only is it fun and makes you feel like you’re a kid again, but it also helps you get out of your head and just do whatever the heck you feel like doing, no matter how weird.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
Manhattan, especially in West Village or Soho. I mean, I never feel lost but the city is so big and immense I never felt like I truly knew it, and there are wonderful gems on every corner.
