What do you love most about Your City?
I am proud to call New York City my home. I have only lived here for about 5 years, so I’m still discovering new things everyday that delight me. What I love most is the energy and spirit of possibility that permeates the entire city. Living here, meeting people from all walks of life who are doing extraordinary things, helps me believe anything is possible.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
Hmm…is coffee a meal? I tend to keep it pretty light in the morning. Coffee and a banana or green smoothie are pretty standard for me. If it’s going to be a super busy day I’ll add some oatmeal or egg whites and turkey bacon. As for favorite restaurant, who can pick just one when you live in NYC? There are so many I love, but a great hidden gem is Ngam – a great Thai restaurant on the lower east side.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – If I’m not on a plane, I’m sleeping. Most days I’m up pretty late so I usually start my day about 7am.
10:00 AM – I’m currently speaking on a leadership tour so I could be on stage, or signing books. When I’m home I’m often coaching or working with my clients. What I love about my life as an entrepreneur is that my day to day never gets dull. Every day presents unique and different opportunities.
12:00 PM – Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?
I love PJ Clarke’s at Brookfield Place. The food is great, and it’s right on the water, where you can sit outside and see both One World Trade and the Statue of Liberty.
7:00 PM – I try to get a workout in. There are some great boot camp and pilates classes right in my neighborhood. I try to attend one of those a few times each week.
11:00 PM – Relaxing and winding down for the day. I’m a night owl, but I try not to use electronics after 11pm so that I can get a good night’s rest.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
Well, a couple of cups of coffee is a must for me in the morning, but what I drink the most is water. Because I travel a lot I have to be careful not to get dehydrated. I usually drink about 6-8 glasses a day.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
I’m most active on Instagram. One of my favorite accounts is @realtalkkim. She always keeps it positive.
What should everyone try at least once?
Sky diving! I describe the heart stopping experience in my book, Loving on Me. It will forever be one of my favorite, “out of my comfort zone” experiences.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
My favorite place to get lost is Central Park. No matter how many times I visit, I always find something new to enjoy or explore.
