To keep working towards my goals – both personal and professional, and to inject fun and laughter into everything I do. (My team knows me for being upbeat and energetic, and one of my co-workers gave me a set of maracas as a manifestation of my personality).
You’re capable of more than you realize – sometimes you just have to push yourself that little bit harder.
To do something meaningful and wonderful each day. Even on my most challenging and craziest days I know I can overcome them. Less than a year ago, I was hit by a car and went through a long and painful recovery process. The experience definitely changed my perspective on life.
To inspire, and be inspired.
Believe in yourself.
A Day in My Life
What do you love most about your city?
San Francisco brings together people from all over the world, with different cultural backgrounds. It’s a highly entrepreneurial city and there’s always somewhere new to go/explore.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant? Homemade overnight oats, with chia seeds, flaxseeds, coconut, berries and milk.
What are you doing at:
6am: Drinking a matcha latte, reading and planning my day.
10am: Conducting a meeting with clients or with my team
12pm: Grabbing lunch – if I don’t bring food from home, it’s usually a salad, sushi or a sandwich.
7pm: Depending on the day I’ll be swimming laps at the gym, doing a yoga or dance class, or wrapping up at work.
11pm: Ideally getting ready for bed, but admittedly I could be checking emails – I’ve always been a night owl and am super connected to my mobile phone.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
Matcha latte every morning (I bought a bamboo brush last year and love whisking it every day). If I need an extra caffeine hit, I’ll do one coffee after lunch, otherwise will drink water throughout the day.
Most used app/Favorite Instagram account?
Gravitate PR’s instagram of course! I also love National Geographic’s Instagram account (@natgeo). For apps, I’m probably tethered to email the most.
What should everyone try at least once?
Travel! Really immerse yourself in the culture, language and history of a foreign culture. You learn a lot and it makes you a more compassionate and better person.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
Swimming laps at the pool – all you have is a black line at the bottom of the pool to focus on, so it’s easy to let your thoughts wander. I’ve planned entire days, refined my goals and felt completely rejuvenated from many hours spent swimming.
