Founder & Designer, Bleusalt
BLEUSALT was created out of an authentic need for beautifully designed clothing that has the luxurious quality and softness of Cashmere without the preciousness and high price point. Born from the beaches of Malibu, BLEUSALT is a curated collection cultivated from the sustainable botanic fibers of the beech tree. Each signature item is 100% made in the USA.
We took the comfort of athleisure and the softest fibers on Earth to create a collection of luxurious, classic pieces for your everyday wardrobe. BLEUSALT is a collection of essentials that are unmatched in softness and can be worn as seasonless additions to your wardrobe.
Founder and Designer Lyndie Benson created BLEUSALT out of her own desire for luxurious clothing that epitomized comfort-chic but left minimal impact on the Earth. Inspired by the ocean and nature, BLEUSALT is a complete lifestyle brand that brings the coveted Malibu way of living to your closet. We believe Malibu is a lifestyle; not a destination.
BLEUSALT is proudly working towards being fully zero-waste. We believe in being part of the solution. We believe in luxury, style and unmatched comfort.

I have always had an eye for fine clothing and fashion. A little obsession actually, so when I was asked to design a little capsule collection I was hooked.
Sustainable luxury. Suddenly, people care about what they are buying and direct to consumer gives you the ability to explain all aspects of your brand. It’s not just something hanging on a rack. You are being conscious by caring what is being made and how. Some people still care only about the fast, cheap garment and that’s the opposite of what we stand for. We care about each step from start to finish.
There simply is nothing softer that elevates your wardrobe than Bleusalt, and I believe everyone should at least have the opportunity to experience it.
By asking them to feel BLEUSALT to believe it. That’s usually all the motivation one needs.
You can do anything you want with enough desire to learn. Passion is the biggest drive. It must sustain you through the rough times.

Well, my divorce by far. Once I got over the devastation, I found myself looking inward to discover what I realized I had lost and given away. It has been amazing to become re acquainted with myself and to realize and appreciate my gifts and talents for myself.

My personal role models are my sons. I get very specific lessons and learn so much from each of them. In Business, well, I just think Oprah is the top of chain. She does it all and with passion, gives back, has endless creativity, and does so much good. There is no one like her on earth.

What Else to Know?
I just recently did a panel at South by Southwest and was struck by the amount of women starting their careers after their kids grow up. I think you can either start in your 20’s or in your 50’s, except if you start in your 50’s you are much wiser with more contacts, connections and skill and more time than ever.
Don’t be afraid to go after your passions no matter what they are. They are in your heart for a reason.
