What do you love most about Your City?

The energy, vibrancy and pace. London never fails to inspire you with it’s every changing face.  You can spend a few months having not visited an area and when you return, there are new shops, graffiti, restaurants, etc which surprises and delights you. London is a collection of beautiful small villages that have all joined up,

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

Shoreditch House on a Sunday for Brunch

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Getting on my gym kit, or getting on a bike to cycle somewhere. I’ve found that exercising most days helps set me up for the day.

10:00 AM – Usually having a catch-up with a Client or a member of the Team.

12:00 PM – Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?

At my desk. Although I’ll have lunch out with a Client once a week, but more often than not, lunch meetings have now moved to breakfast or evenings.

7:00 PM – I try and leave and be home 2-3 evenings a week, so that I can read to my youngest. I find it incredibly cathartic and it helps release the pressure of the day.

I then might work again after 9pm catching up on emails, that I was meant to send but didn’t.

11:00 PM – Try to wind down by 11pm. Have a policy now of no TV an no phones upstairs in our house, as there’s a tendency to keep working late and you never switch off.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

Absinthe. I co-founded a luxury absinthe La Maison Fontaine a few years (which is now the most award blanche absinthe in the world) and a Pontarlier Mule (LMF, ginger, over rocks with slice of lemon and lime) is one of the nicest and most refreshing drinks.

What should everyone try at least once?

Failure. It makes you a better person

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

I have three actual loves of being lost:-

1. Bizarrely in the car at the weekends with the whole family, as it’s the only time we get to all be together chatting.

2. When I just leave the house and go running with the dog, and we end up in random fields and don’t know where we are or how to get home.

3. Being lost in the moment, when you’re out with people, just enjoying the moment, not looking at watches or phones.
