What do you do best?:

What makes you the best?:

Humility and empathy. Being willing to fail and having the courage to try again. Listening to my hear and following through. Fierce determination and compassion.

What are your aspirations? (Personal and Business):

I’m currently creating a show called, Weaving Women Together, that will open at Portland Playhouse in January 2018. It is the story of losing my other and how I have found her in other women. It incorporates over 35 female stories, original music, and a magic skirt made of fabric from these women. This year I’m focusing on connecting to the female figures I know, and those that I have long admired. I’m excited to connect more deeply with women, to share our stories, and to practice embodiment.

Personally, I’m practicing presence and looking for more pause in my life to savor the moment to moment connections.

Biggest Success?:

This is a tricky one for me as I often struggle with how to define myself. I’m an avid runner (13 marathons to date), a former yoga teacher, an international wellness retreat leader, a mom to two young girls, a bike commuter, a theatre co-founder, a massage therapist, a reiki practitioner, a creative leader ( I manage more people and programs than I can count on two hands), an actor, a deep listener, and a truth seeker. Perhaps my biggest success is that I have survived all of these titles and still have an abundance of energy and love in my life for doing what I do.

Most Challenging Moment?:

I remember dating a guy about twenty years my senior. I liked him, but I certainly wasn’t in love with him. When he wanted us to continue our relationship I remember thinking, this guy could be my dad. I began laughing hysterically and spoke my truth. These felt like the first truthful words I had ever uttered in my life. Truth telling has become much easier since then.

Motto?:

Listen with your heart.

Favorite People/Role Models?:

All makers, creators, and dreamers. People with passion and fire, and a desire to learn. I’m attracted to curiousity.

Favorite Places/Destinations?:

Australia, because it’s where I grew up. New York, for the miles I walk and the parks I lose myself in. Vietnam, for the people, food, and the opportunity to be reminded of history.

Favorite Products/Objects?:

Candles. I light 4-6 a day. First thing in the morning, at work, and when I get home. They remind me of the miniscules of light we all have in our lives, even when we feel lost. My yoga mat, a good book, and a great cup of coffee put a smile on my face.

Current Passions?:

Dreaming and scheming of new ways to collaborate with exciting people. Chasing my two young girls, Margot and Elliette, and watching them learn about the world. Travelling, always travelling. My mother said it was the best education I would ever get, and she was right.
