Paula Tursi is a partner, mother, counselor, teacher and public speaker. Founder of Reflections Center for Conscious Living & Yoga and the internationally renowned Reflections Yoga Teacher Training Program, Paula developed Reflections as a way to integrate what inspired her about various practices with her own personal truth

Paula received her masters degree in Education from Hunter College and studied Psychology at Columbia University, She did her clinical post-graduate training at the Milton H. Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis, and she now trains exclusively with Stephen Gilligan in the practice of Generative Trance hypnosis.

Paula offers yoga, meditation and counseling as a way to facilitate structure, guidance and a more conscious lifestyle. Her classes are a candid blend of artful alignment and attention cues targeted to your body, mind and heart. She has been named one of Well + Good’s Top 5 Meditation Teachers, and she is a contributing author on the book Happy Gut with Dr. Vincent Pedre.

What do you love most about Your City?

Diversity !! I love how many different people doing different things you can see in even an hour of your day. I have a 4 year old and I want him to know the worked this way. You can be and you whatever you dream!

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

I still love the Mogador on 8th street. Their hummus is divine

What are you doing at:

4:am Meditating

6:00 AM – Resting

10:00 AM – Im on the go! Im either seeing clients or at the studio meeting with people who are interested in running workshops or trainings

12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?  

It an important meal for me so I like to make my own lunch but when I don’t and Im home I like to go to Divya’s kitchen. Its real wholesome food made with so much love!

7:00 PM –  If I don’t have a late counseling client its wind down and bedtime for my son. So Im either reading a book our saying our mantras

11:00 PM – Snoring !!

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

Green tea!!! I love it!! It find it very soothing. Never more than two a day

Sadly Via. I am moving around a lot so I take Via too much! Im not a social media person. I don have the time really. Its on my list of things to do, sort of.

What should everyone try at least once?

To be honest even when it feels really uncomfortable. As humans we avoid the truth because we down like the feel of confrontation. When I have pushed through that and did so with love it made a huge difference. Next to that it would say eye gazing with someone you really care about. Its amazing!  

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

In the woods. There is nothing better for me than taking a hike smelling the trees. It truly feels like god to me.
