What Else To Know

Tell Us More:

What do you love most about Your City?

From a professional perspective, it’s the can-do spirit of Hong Kong people. The city thrives on this entrepreneurial spirit and there are plenty of opportunities for people to work hard, make connections and succeed. Away from the office, I love Hong Kong’s surrounding greenery and take any chance for a mountain hike.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

Grassroots Pantry in Hollywood Road Shueng Wan is a vegan restaurant that does amazing an amazing breakfast.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Waking up and trying to make my way to my local F45 gym for the 6.40am class. If I don’t squeeze in a training session in the morning, chances are I won’t have time later in the day.

10:00 AM – By now the day is in full swing. If I’m not meeting with colleagues to discuss a project, I’m meeting with new clients to develop their marketing strategies or responding to the never-ending stream of emails.

12:00 PM – Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?

Duddell’s in Central. Aside from being a great setting, this Michelin-starred restaurant serves some of the best Cantonese food in the city.

7:00 PM – Since hospitality and F&B clients are a large portion of our portfolio, most week nights I’ll be hosting media at a restaurant or at a function for one of our clients.

11:00 PM – Usually doing a last-minute check on emails. Since a lot of our clients are based in the US or Europe, they’re still working when we’re ready to retire. I want to be able to sleep easy knowing there are no sudden emergencies.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I try to limit my coffee to one a day, but for the most part I drink Aveda’s organic caffeine-free tea. It’s a mix of peppermint and licorice.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

Since my Cantonese is still pretty basic, I use the Hong Kong Taxi Translator the most. Not only does give present the address in Chinese, it also provides the driver with a pronunciation.

Favourite Instagram account is probably Edward Barnieh @edwardkb, a Hong Kong-based photographer who takes the most astonishing shots of the city.

What should everyone try at least once?

Live abroad. Not only does it force you to step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself, you have the privilege to live in a new community and discover a different culture.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

New York. Wherever you are, there’s something worth seeing.
