Career Snapshot:

Ronnie has lived in New York City for 32 years. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BS in Political Science and History. After interning for a year at a personal injury law firm, she attended Brooklyn Law School and obtained her JD.  Prior to entering real estate, she practiced law in New York, and has over twenty years of legal experience.  She worked as a litigator in private practice and later as an in-house Client Manager in the Litigation Management department of a large insurance corporation.

While practicing law, Ronnie was also consulting with property owners on small and large scale renovations.  In late 2014, Ronnie transitioned to a new career in real estate, forming a company called Createyourspacenyc.  The boutique consulting shop is designed to assist brokers in providing a vision for their interested buyers on how best to utilize the space they are considering.  At the same time, she became a referral director for Town Residential, and in February 2015, she joined Town as a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker.

What do you do best?:

Those who know me well say I bring out the best in them – I know it sounds cliché, but I am a true people person – and I make people laugh (I don’t tell jokes, though).

What makes you the best version of yourself?:

I believe that what makes me the best is being true to myself and others.

What are your aspirations? (Personal and Business):

I want a balanced life.

I want to continue to make use of my legal skills to help close deals for my clients.

I want to move forward, and not be complacent.

I want my freedom and independence as I grow my business.

And, I want to continue to learn from my mistakes and from others who take the time to teach me.  The only way to increase your opportunities and maintain your happiness is by learning.

Biggest Success?:

Having invested in the market myself, I bought my first condominium in Tribeca  in 1995, and sold it in 2004 at three times what I paid. I had also negotiated a deal with the buyers to reduce the agreed to purchase price by 4% in exchange for allowing my family to remain in the unit for 6 months while I renovated my new apartment, a deal my then broker thought the buyers would never go for.  The new space, a gut renovation loft in Tribeca, I mostly designed myself while working with an architect.

Most Challenging Moment?:

I cannot think of one specific moment.  Balancing marriage, kids, and career, with time to indulge myself – it’s all challenging.

My two boys, and my husband, who supports me in everything I do

New York City, Palm Springs, California, and anywhere on a yacht

Drinking good wine, socializing, music, dancing, shopping for mid – century modern furniture and real estate
