Career Snapshot:

Sara started her career in marketing for Clinique and corporate public relations at the Estee Lauder Companies in New York followed by positions in advertising at GSD&M in Austin and DDB in Chicago.

Her tenure in digital marketing and entertainment includes positions as Executive Director of Interactive Marketing at Paramount Pictures, VP of Digital Marketing at MGM Studios, SVP of Marketing at SocialVibe, COO of Jetset Studios, and CEO & Co-Founder of NowLive (acquired by Live Media Group in 2013).

Sara’s role as Executive Producer of TEDxAustinWomen in partnership with the United Nations Foundation contributed to the inaugural event reaching the highest number of viewers over more than 200 TEDxWomen events worldwide.

Sara has attended The White House Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference in 2010 and The White House Champions for Change Summit in 2012, and was nominated for Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneur in 2012 and 2013. She has been invited as a speaker for SXSW, The U.S. Air Force Academy’s Leadership Symposium, and Variety’s Venture Capital in Tech Summit, and has been quoted in publications such as The Examiner, Variety, The Business Insider, The Daily News, The Boston Globe, and The Hollywood Reporter.

In 2013, Sara was inducted into The Producer’s Guild of America as a member of the New Media Council and the Women’s Impact Network.

What do you do best?:

I love assembling teams with heart and a sense of purpose, for whatever I’m working on.

What makes you the best version of yourself?:

We are all working on becoming better at many things, but I enjoy trusting the people I bring together to own their lane and their strengths, while supporting a very collaborative environment.

What are your aspirations? (Personal and Business):

Business: My business aspirations are to leave behind a legacy of empowering women and girls through the best experiences and content possible with my company Women Rising and the clients who we support.
