Susie Glass serves as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Douglas Elliman Development Marketing (Florida) where she has been involved in more than $4B in luxury new development projects. Ms. Glass is an expert in branding, marketing analysis and strategy for luxury residential condominiums with more than a decade of development and general real estate marketing experience in the highly dynamic South Florida real estate market. Susie began her real estate career in 2006 at Metro 1 Properties as Vice President of Marketing; Five years later, she joined Cervera Real Estate as Vice President of Marketing and Sales until she joined Douglas Elliman in late 2013. Susie is a LEED Accredited Professional and licensed Florida Realtor®. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy & English from Florida International University and M.S. in Real Estate Development with a concentration in Global Real Estate Development from New York University.

What do you do best?:

Make people laugh, both in business and in my professional life. I really should have been a comedian, or a comedy writer. I have a lot of material.

What makes you the best?:

My quiet confidence in my abilities, knowledge, and expertise. I’m not a micro-manager. I’m a logical, strategic, big-picture thinker. I try extremely hard to be humble. About five months ago, I began to meditate every night. I know my best quality and I’m not afraid to delegate to my team.

What are your aspirations? (Personal and Business):

Personal: I already have a really amazing life. I hope to continue my path in remaining centered, following my bliss, and live in a residence that I design/build

Business: to build my own building, maintain a stellar reputation and essentially continue to do meaningful work in the real estate business

Biggest Success?:

My graduate degree and all the hard work, traveling and effort that went into completing a top-tier program while working in an extremely demanding executive role.

Most Challenging Moment?:

I don’t handle incompetence as well as I should, that is a recurring challenge. The rest I don’t see as big challenges. Hurdles are just part of the business, which makes it interesting.

Motto?:

Favorite People/Role Models?:

I appreciate transparent, genuine, intelligent people who do what they want, without the concern of social climbing or navigating through political agendas, or by stepping on others.

Colombia, Singapore, Madrid, Miami, and New York

Favorite Products/Objects?:

My iPhone, my music apps to stream on Bluetooth in my car, fabulous shoes (I dislike label dropping) and black clothes. I only wear black these days.

Current Passions?:

I’ll always have a passion for good music. I love listening to music, discovering music, singing (and even rapping) to myself in the car – it really helps me get through life.
