Asking successful people for advice then implementing it! I love finding people crushing it in aspects of their lives I aspire to upskill in, asking them how they created their success then applying this to create a roadmap for my own improvement.
Surrounding myself with go-getters and inspiring people. People always say it but the quote “you’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with” couldn’t be more accurate.
I’ve learnt that when you’re building a business it’s important to have ‘yes’ people in your life. People that get excited about your new ideas and expect you to achieve them. Sharing resources, experiences and inspiration with these people is what makes the business journey fun and achievable.
Finding my tribe has been key to becoming the best version of myself. The more I’ve thrown myself down the path I’m passionate about the more confident in myself and my dreams I’ve become.
I am always striving to better myself creatively and improve the quality of content I’m putting out into the world. For @tastefullytash I’m working on upleveling my content to include videography and growing my audience so I can work on bigger campaigns and connect with more people.
I love spreading the message about the opportunities the digital world and social media offers people. I co-founded my company ‘Ace the Gram with my Business partner Vivien Conway to spread this message and teach people how to harness Instagram as a marketing and personal branding tool.
We are excited about how our business is growing and are expanding to run more workshops, courses and conferences to show brands and influencers how they can apply it to share their own messages.
I’m excited everyday that I get to do the things I am passionate about for my work. My love for photography, art, health and wellness, and connecting with people are now what I do for a living. I would say channeling these skills into a career would be what I am most proud of in my life so far.
My most challenging moment led me to the most important decisions in my life. Coming home after my first year of Uni, I felt dispassionate about my degree, ill and tired from the unhealthy lifestyle I had led and unsure what I wanted to do in the future.
This low led me to do a lot of soul searching where I found health and wellness. I changed my degree from Psychology to Food Science, went on a 3 week outdoors and personal growth course called Outward Bound and started my Instagram @tastefullytash. This is where my whole career began as soon my Instagram was getting more opportunities than my degree. Sharing my skills and journey on Social Media gave me the ability to connect with like minded people across the globe and now I have been able to travel and turn my passions into my career.
The quote “Be fearless in pursuit of what sets your soul on fire” has always been a favourite as it accurately describes how I aspire to live my life.
So many epic people out there I don’t know where to start. Some that immediately jump to mind though are some of my friends who inspire me daily! Sally from @thefitfoodieblog, @kristinaweb from @colour_me_creative, @gretta – founder of @dropbottle, @the5th @smtoffical, and my business partner Vivien Conway. I love how all these women have turned their passions into successful businesses and built a tribe of amazing people while doing so.
I just finished living in Santa Monica LA for a year. This place changed my life and exposed me to what is possible in the world. It will always hold a special place in my heart but my all time favourite place in the world is my home Mount Maunganui in New Zealand.
Do social media platforms count as favourite products/objects? Instagram has changed my life and I spend a lot of time on it so it’s pretty high up on my favourite things list haha.
I love taking time out and going hiking, or getting involved in the great outdoors. Especially as work life has taken off and become a crazy busy consuming journey it’s become increasingly important to take time out to look after myself and connect with nature.
There’s no feeling like creating content I’m proud of for my Social Media accounts. I’m enjoying switching between my health and wellness Instagram @tastefullytash, my personal account @tashameys and my art Instagram @tashameys_art.
The final thing I’m passionate about at the moment is the community my business partner and I are building in our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/instagramgrowthandengagement/. Getting to help and connect with this audience has been incredible and what drives us to expand and stay on the cutting edge in our industry 🙂
