Career Snapshot:

Autumn Calabrese was a Midwest girl with one big dream, to make it out West. She’s gone from living paycheck to paycheck as a personal trainer to being a mini fitness mogul building her empire. When it comes to helping people achieve their goals, Autumn takes it very personally. We saw this for the first time with Autumns breakthrough workout programs 21 Day Fix® and follow-up 21 Day Fix Extreme®.  Next for Autumn on her journey to help people lead healthy, fulfilling lives was a functional body-sculpting program, The Masters Hammer and Chisel®, where she collaborated with bodybuilder Sagi Kalev to help take your results to the next level. Right when we thought we knew what to expect from this weight lifting, cardio strength training little machine, she surprised us again with Country Heat®! Fitness isn’t Autumn’s only passion, so is food. Her wildly successful cookbook, FIXATE™, based on the success of the nutrition Autumn created in 21 Day Fix, led to her cooking show by the same name. A healthy cooking series by Autumn and her chef brother, Bobby Calabrese, that features simple, delicious, recipes, all perfectly portion-controlled – streaming only on Beachbody On Demand. . Most recently she has completed her certification to be a holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

What do you do best?:

I’m a work horse. I don’t ever stop. I’m constantly working to better myself. I may not always be the smartest or most experienced in the room, but I am always the one with the biggest heart who’s willing to go the extra mile to make something good, great.

What makes you the best version of yourself?:

My unwavering belief in myself and my abilities. I just never took no for an answer. When one door closed, I went knocking on another.  I’m persistent, dedicated and hard working. That’s how you achieve your goals.

What are your aspirations? (Personal and Business):

My biggest goal is to leave a lasting impact on the health of our world. Yes, the world. We are in a crisis when it comes to our health. Obesity is an epidemic. I want to make a true impact on ending that trend and setting us back on the road to healthy, happy lives. I want to inspire people to believe in themselves.

Biggest Success?:

Being a successful, single mom. Taking care of my son on my own and achieving the success that I’ve achieved in the fitness industry is a huge success. One most people thought was impossible.

Most Challenging Moment?:

When I was still married my husband and I left Los Angeles with our six-month-old son Dominic and moved to Dallas for my husband’s job. My personal training business was doing very well at the time but I gave it up and moved with my husband and son.  I cried every day that we were there, I knew in my soul that that was not where I belonged.  Five weeks into living in Dallas I told my husband I was moving back to LA with or without him and he could join Dominic and me whenever he could get transferred back.  It was hard to leave my husband in Dallas; it was scary to take my six-month-old back to Los Angeles on my own where I had no help.  But I knew that’s where I belonged.  I got back to LA hired a nanny and got to work.  Things started to fall into place immediately and my husband came back to LA 3 months later.  That experience showed me just how tough I really am.

Motto?:

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.  You can’t stop bad things from happening; life will have good days and bad.  Your attitude toward those moments is what truly determines the type of life you will have.

Favorite People/Role Models?:

My good friend and the CEO of Beachbody, Carl Daikeler is a huge role model to me.  He leads by example, I have learned so much from him.  Madonna, yes Madonna, ever since I was a little girl I looked up to her.  She knew what she wanted, who she wanted to be and no one was going to stop her or tell her other wise.  Gabrielle Bernstein, I love her story and her message.  I apply her meditation and techniques for living an empowered life daily.

Favorite Places/Destinations?:

The Maldives was probably the most beautiful exotic place I’ve ever traveled to.  I also absolutely love Miami.  Give me a white sand beach and crystal blue water, and I’m happy.

Favorite Products/Objects?:

I love my Nikes; the Nike Pegasus is my favorite fitness shoe.  I also love my Matrix Biolage Hair care products and Tarte makeup.

Current Passions?:

Dancing, always dancing, focusing on my personal development, fitness and helping people.
