EVP, Investor Relations at WaterEquity, & Co-Founder, Dance Industry Partners
A nonprofit leader by day and a dance enthusiast by night, Alix is passionate about making a difference. A French social and cultural entrepreneur who grew up in South Korea and China, Alix has 15+ years of experience bringing game-changing ideas to life through strategic funding partnerships, lean and impactful teams, creativity, and artistic efforts.
In 2010, Alix joined Water.org CEO and co-founders Gary White and Matt Damon, and their remarkable team to build a $60 million portfolio of philanthropic partnerships, and scale a microfinance model that’s helped more than 16 million people gain access to safe water and sanitation. In 2017, she helped launch WaterEquity, the world’s first impact investment manager dedicated to ending the global water crisis in our lifetime. Raising $70 million in impact investments and grants from foundations, institutional investors, corporations and individuals worldwide, Alix supported the launch of two impact funds investing in high-growth microfinance institutions and enterprises helping families living in poverty.
Throughout Alix’s entrepreneurial journey with the World Bank, Water.org, and WaterEquity, and her studies at the London School of Economics, her love of music and dance never faded. Training in ballet, jazz funk and hip hop in France and the US has continued to fuel her creative spirit. During her free time, Alix supports Dance Industry Partners (DIP), an innovative business venture she helped launch. DIP is transforming and professionalizing the dance industry, creating a global platform and opportunities that will help a new generation of children, artists and athletes achieve their full potential.

To have the courage to conquer my fears and tackle challenges with equanimity. There is no time to waste on hurdles or negativity. Ensure that my actions are already paving the way for positive impact.
Embrace the journey and remember why you started. So many times we get wrapped-up in wanting a specific outcome when it’s really the process that we should love, and everything we learn along the way. That is what shapes us and ultimately empowers us to achieve amazing things
To tap into my creativity, passion, and drive for social change to bring as many people, stakeholders, and other changemakers along. It takes a village to unleash transformational impact.
To get out of my comfort zone, and surround myself with great people, and inspire those around me to accomplish things they never thought possible.
First and foremost, believe in yourself. Don’t wait for permission to pursue and bring an innovative idea to life that you strongly believe in. People will always remind you of the risks and what can go wrong. That’s valuable insight but focus also on what can go right.
