Santa Monica is a little bubble. Everything you need is here and everything is just a skateboard, bike, or scooter trip away. I have all three and I use them almost every day. I am someone that loves the outdoors so being so close to the ocean and by some of the best hikes suits my lifestyle. The restaurant scene is also great!
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
My favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs with avocado on flaxseed toast.
My favorite local community restaurant is Local Kitchen and Wine Bar in Santa Monica. My fiancé and I scooter there from our house. It’s a great atmosphere, delicious food with locally sourced ingredients, and creative drinks.
My favorite coffee shop is Kiff Kafe. You feel like you are in France when you sit outside on their patio. I work there a lot in between training clients.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Teaching my first Private client or teaching a class at Speir Pilates
10:00 AM – Still teaching. Usually by this time I have taught 3-4 clients.
12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
I am still teaching! I don’t usually eat lunch until later.
If I am in a hurry, I usually go to Philz coffee and grab their homemade protein bowl. If I have time, I go home and make a tuna salad or salmon salad with quinoa. If I am out and about, and have time, I will pop in to Tocaya Organica and eat one of their healthy bowls with a protein added on top such as fish.
7:00 PM – I am usually playing board games with my fiance and his 5-year-old. We try to stay away from too much television, so we often pull out board games or play Charades. She loves Charades.
11:00 PM – My head is on the pillow. I have to wake up at 5:30!
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
Coffee with a touch of cream and cinnamon. 1-2 cups a day. Water is a must and I drink sips of water throughout the day. Usually 1 ½-2 liters.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
My most used App is Waze because LA traffic is nuts and Waze has become my right arm when I am having to navigate the streets. I am also obsessed with the Pinterest app. I find such true inspiration there. I can’t get enough of Pinterest.
What should everyone try at least once?
Singing lessons. It’s really transformative, revealing about where you hold your breath, and just so much fun.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
In Target. Ha! I got lost so I just had to buy ALL OF THIS STUFF I DON’T NEED!
