What do you love most about Your City?
I love the Point Vicente lighthouse on the cliffs of Palos Verdes. Every time I see it, I think about the first time my husband and I went on a picnic and hike. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship and love.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
I have two favorites depending on my mood. If I just want something yummy, The Original Pancake house Swedish Pancakes are my obsession. If I want something fancier, I love to drive to Manhattan Beach to go to Nicks. They have the best Bloody Mary’s.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Trying to drag myself out of bed. I am not a morning person although, every night I have an internal dialog that I should get up earlier but the next morning, my eyeballs don’t listen.
10:00 AM – Furiously working. I am getting ready for broker’s opens, checking emails, doing computer work or getting my marketing set for the week. On occasion, I take that time to volunteer in my daughter’s class. She loves it even though it’s often just helping the teacher file papers.
12:00 PM – Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?
This one is super tough for me. My favorite lunch is with friends or some of my favorite clients. I don’t really care where I go. I really enjoy trying new places. Some of my favorites, if I had to choose are Locale 90 in Redondo Riviera Village, Crème de la Crepe has the best crepes if I’m having more of a brunch or Good Stuff at the Promenade on the Peninsula.
7:00 PM – This is about when I’m finishing dinner with my family on most days. Sometimes, I’m rushing to get everyone fed and my boys out the door to Boy Scouts or other activities, but mostly, we are cleaning up dinner and I am checking emails or checking in with clients before shutting it down for the night.
11:00 PM – By this time, if I am not relaxing in bed, then it’s been a rough day. I try to finish work and family responsibilities by 10pm but occasionally, it carries later into the night. By this time, I am trying to settle my brain and go to sleep.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I love my coffee. I do the Sweet Irish Cream creamer and it is like a morning treat. I only have one a day.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
I really like Homesnap for work. I can drive up to a house, take a picture and get all the info I need. It shows me listings in whatever area I am in and has a lot of useful information. My favorite Instagram is @theagencyre…Of Course 😊
What should everyone try at least once?
Visiting Costa Rica!!! I’ve been twice in my life and both times were amazing. You can do everything there…if you love an adventure. I am afraid of heights and the last time I was there, I managed to shoot down a 35-foot water fall slide. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done but I will remember it forever.
I guess that I think people should try one thing that scares them a little. It is so empowering once it’s accomplished. I almost backed out but thought about my daughter watching me and it gave me the power to do it.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
When I was growing up, my room window looked out to a canyon that had the most incredible sunsets. When I had trouble at school (which I had a lot because I was bullied) or with friends, I’d climb out my window with pillows and a blanket and sit on top of the pergola to watch the sunset. It was so relaxing and seemed to take away all the bad feelings of the day. Still today, if I can stop to watch a sunset, I’m happy!!!!
